Qualifications & Experience
I graduated from NC State with my Master of Social Work (MSW) in 2019
I have dedicated my professional growth to the issues of dating/ relationship violence and sexual violence. I have had the unique opportunity to work on all 3 levels of social work - micro, mezzo, and macro.
While in grad school, and immediately after, I worked at InterAct of Wake County. Here I provided direct services to those experiencing crises related to various kinds of IPV (interpersonal violence), and oversaw the helpline - working with volunteers to know how to respond when folks are looking for resources and support.
After that, I had the privilege of working for NCCASA (NC Coalition Against Sexual Assault) supporting our rape crisis centers (RCCs) across the state on responding to SA, creating resources and guides, and specifically helping our RCCs in the rural parts of the state.
Finally in 2020 I realized that my true passion … calling? is therapy. I love working directly with people who are struggling with the aftermath of trauma and promoting self- compassion and a sense of hope after overcoming horrible circumstances
