Who I Serve

Therapy for female identified adults & teens

I specialize in providing trauma-informed therapy for female-identified adults and teens (ages 16+). While trauma can affect anyone, I focus on those recovering from adverse life events that often lead to PTSD or Complex PTSD (C-PTSD).

My areas of focus include:

  • Sexual Abuse and Sexual Violence

  • Interpersonal Violence (IPV) and Domestic Violence (DV)

  • Child Abuse and Neglect

  • Healing Insecure Attachment Wounds

The evidence shows that women, and those in the LGBTQ+ community, have much higher rates of experiencing these types of traumas.

Do I serve men? Yes, I do! I recognize that these adverse life events affect men too—in fact, studies show 1 in 4 men will experience some kind of intimate partner violence in their lifetime.

I welcome all genders who feel I am the right fit. I choose to focus on women and girls aged 16+ because I find that I connect best with these groups. I strive to create a therapeutic relationship that feels relatable, honest, and effective.

How I Work

My approach for treating trauma

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is widely considered the gold standard in treating PTSD; however, it’s not the right fit for every client. To provide effective, flexible trauma therapy, I integrate several powerful, evidence-based approaches so I can meet clients exactly where they are.

My integrated approach includes:

Internal Family Systems (IFS): For getting to know your internal experiences and how different "parts" of you show up in your life and relationships, promoting wholeness and reducing internal conflict.

Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT): To promote self-compassion and kindness for surviving what you’ve been through, fundamentally shifting self-criticism.

Somatic Therapy: Emphasizes listening to your body and addressing the physical manifestations of trauma, allowing your nervous system to fully process and release residual stress.

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT): For cultivating mindfulness to focus on the present moment, differentiate between perceived and real threats, and align your actions with your deepest values.

All of these modalities are trauma-informed and seek to help clients reorient to the present, heal from the past, and repair attachment wounds to improve all relationships.
